Correspondence, lecture notes, research notes, mss. of writings, books, curriculum vitae, artifacts, photos, and other papers, relating to Friedmann's activities as a graduate student and professor of philosophy, religion, and history, at University of Vienna (1925-1939) and professor at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo (1945-1968), and his writings on the theology and ideas of the Anabaptists and Hutterites, pietism of the Mennonites, and the Hutterite Society of Brothers. Includes typewritten copies (1527-1658) of letters and confessions of faith originating from Bohemia, Hesse, Moravia, Prussia, Silesia, Turkey, and Tyrol.
